Executive Management
Mr. Gabelli serves as a member of our Board of Directors and Chairman since 2019 and served as interim Chief Executive Officer from October 2021 to April 2023 until Mr. Bondi’s election. Mr. Gabelli has resumed the role of interim CEO with the retirement of Steve Bondi due to health related issues. He also serves in various executive roles across affiliates. Since its formation, Mr. Gabelli has served as Vice Chairman, President and Director of GGCP, Inc., the parent company of the Gabelli organization. Among GGCP’s investment advisory businesses, GGCP is the controlling shareholder of Teton Advisors, the controlling shareholder of GAMCO Investors, Inc. (GAMI:OTCQX), and Associated Capital Group, Inc. (AC:NYSE) where Mr. Gabelli serves as Vice Chairman and was President at its formation through to 2017. He is Chairman of the LGL Group (LGL: NYSE MKT) and the Gabelli Merger Plus Trust PLC (GMP:LSE) a London Stock Exchange listed company, and serves as a director of LICT Corporation. Mr. Gabelli is Chairman of Mtron industries (NYSE-MPTI). Gabelli has been Co-Chief Executive Officer of Gabelli Securities International Ltd. since 1994, Managing Partner of Swiss based GGCP since 2012 and GAMA Funds Holdings GmbH since 2010 and Gabelli & Partners Italia Srl. and Gabelli Value for Italy SPA (VALU: IM), a Milan stock exchange listed corporation at formation in 2018. A fund manager since 1990, Mr. Gabelli’s focus is global value investments with portfolio assignments including alternative and traditional asset classes. Starting in the 1990’s, Mr. Gabelli managed several Morningstar five star mutual funds in the United States and Canada. He managed the Lipper #1 ranked U.S. global equity mutual fund since inception, the Gabelli Global Growth, and in Canada managed the award winning five star SVC O’Donnell Mid Cap Value fund since inception. In corporate matters, he assisted on various Gabelli group restructurings such as GAMCO’s initial public offering in 1999 and the subsequent formation of AC in 2015. He built the Gabelli hedge fund platform, Gabelli & Partners, LLC, and expanded the business internationally, opening the GAMCO’s London and Tokyo offices. In venture capital, Mr. Gabelli has been active in both early stage and growth investments as a fiduciary and as a General Partner, including OpNet Partners in 2001, a Gabelli venture capital fund focused on optical networking technologies. Today, he manages primarily alternative investments. Mr. Gabelli is active in a variety of charitable efforts in the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom. He began his career with Lehman Brothers International in equity research covering international telecommunications and metals, mining and metallurgy companies, and later in equity arbitrage including cross asset special situations. He received a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College, a Master’s in Government from Harvard University with research conducted through the Davis Center focusing on Russian agricultural trade policy, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a graduate of the Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, New York.
Mr. Huvane has served as Chief Financial Officer of Teton since April 2019. He has also served as Senior Vice-President, Business Development at The LGL Group, Inc. (NYSE: LGL) since April 2019. Mr. Huvane was Vice President, Finance and Accounting at LGL Systems Acquisition Corp. from September 2019 to August 2021. From 2007 to 2018, Mr. Huvane was employed at Tiptree Inc. (NASD: TIPT), a diversified financial services holding company, where he held various positions including Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Huvane received a B.S. from Manhattan College and an MBA from New York University. He also served as a part-time adjunct faculty member at Manhattan College from 2008 to 2009.
Mr. Haars has served as Controller of Teton since February 2017. Mr. Haars is a finance and accounting executive with more than eighteen years of experience in the financial services sector. He previously served as the Controller for the Keeley Companies for eight years, which managed $11B of assets. The Keeley Companies consisted of an investment advisor, mutual funds, hedge funds and a broker-dealer. Mr. Haars holds a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa.
Ms. Hayden has served as Chief Compliance Officer of Teton since January 2022 and has also served as Vice President – Director of Marketing since November 2021. Ms. Hayden joined Teton Advisors, Inc. in 2008 and where she has served in other capacities including Managing Director and Secretary. As Chief Compliance Officer, Ms. Hayden oversees the Company’s compliance program. As Director of Marketing, she oversees shareholder services, corporate development, marketing and client service for the Company. Prior to Teton, Ms. Hayden spent three years at Trust Company of the West (TCW) as a research and marketing associate for the Value Added/Value Opportunities investment team. Prior to TCW, she worked for Econ One in Austin, Texas on an economic research project focused on actuarial modeling. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Keeley joined Keeley Teton upon its operational inception on March 1, 2017 and has 26 years of marketing and management experience. Prior to that date, Mr. Keeley served as President (2015-2017) of Keeley Asset Management Corp. (“KAMCO”), the firm founded by his late father, John L. Keeley, Jr. Before joining KAMCO in 2005, he held senior marketing and sales management roles in various professional services organizations, including CenturyLink (formerly Qwest Communications International, Inc.). Mr. Keeley graduated with a B.A. from Indiana University. In addition to his roles with Keeley Teton and the KEELEY Funds, he is the Managing Partner of Joley Partners, LLC, a family office entity. Mr. Keeley also serves as both an Officer and Director for the Keeley Family Foundation, a charitable not-for-profit corporation, President of the Prairie Trail Federation, Inc., a not-for-profit civic and charitable organization, Trustee of the Chicago Zoological Society, serving on the Finance & Investment Committee and Executive Advisory Board Member of the John L. Keeley Jr. Center for Financial Services at DePaul University.
Investment Professionals
Nicholas F. Galluccio is the Chairman of Teton Advisors, LLC and is also the portfolio manager of the Teton Small Cap Select Value Strategy and the Keeley Teton Small-Mid Cap Value Strategy and assists on the TETON Westwood Mighty Mites Fund and Keeley Small and Mid Cap Dividend Value Funds. Mr. Galluccio has been a director of Teton since October 2008. From July 2008 to September 2021, Mr. Galluccio was President and Chief Executive Officer of Teton Advisors, Inc. Mr. Galluccio joined Teton Advisors, Inc. in 2008, after a 25-year career at Trust Company of the West where he was Group Managing Director, U.S. Equities, and led the investment team for the TCW SmallCap Value Added and TCW MidCap Value Opportunities equity strategies. He was senior portfolio manager and co-managed both strategies since their inception. Prior to TCW, he was with Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb where he was a security analyst specializing in the semiconductor industry. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr. Galluccio was a staff writer for Forbes magazine. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, an M.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of Hartford. Mr. Galluccio serves on the University of Hartford Board of Regents.
Mr. Borland joined Keeley Teton Advisors, LLC (“Keeley Teton”) with over 21 years of investment experience on March 1, 2017. Prior to joining Keeley Teton, Mr. Borland served as a Research Analyst (2011-2017) with Keeley Asset Management Corp. (“KAMCO”). While employed by KAMCO, Mr. Borland provided research to client portfolios for KAMCO’s historical clients in a manner consistent with the manner he employs research for Keeley Teton. Before joining KAMCO, Mr. Borland was the Director of Research (2005-2016) at Hudson Securities. Prior to that, Mr. Borland served as an Analyst at Fiduciary Management Associates, Inc. Mr. Borland received his M.B.A. from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2006, and received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Denver in 1993.
Mr. Browne joined Keeley Teton Advisors, LLC (“Keeley Teton”) with over 32 years of investment experience on March 1, 2017. Prior to joining Keeley Teton, Mr. Browne served as a Portfolio Manager (2009-2017) with Keeley Asset Management Corp. (“KAMCO”). While employed by KAMCO, Mr. Browne managed client portfolios for KAMCO’s historical clients in a manner consistent with the strategies he currently manages for Keeley Teton. Before joining KAMCO, Mr. Browne was a Portfolio Manager in charge of Oppenheimer Capital’s small-cap core and small-cap value strategies. Before that, Mr. Browne managed a mid-cap portfolio for SEB Asset Management and was an analyst at small-cap investment firm Palisade Capital Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Browne was a sell-side technology services analyst for Prudential Securities and was twice recognized in the Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street survey. Mr. Browne earned his M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business and his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. In addition, Mr. Browne holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
Scott R. Butler is Portfolio Manager of the Teton Small Cap Select Value Strategy and the Keeley Teton Small-Mid Cap Value Strategy. Mr. Butler joined Teton Advisors, Inc. in 2010, bringing with him eight years of investment experience. Prior to that, he worked at Trust Company of the West (TCW) on the small and mid-cap portfolio management teams as a special situations generalist with a focus on software, industrial and medical technology sectors. Mr. Butler began as an analyst at Intrepid Capital Management in 2001, covering the video game and software industries. Mr. Butler holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and a B.S. from Columbia University.
Mr. Fiedler is a portfolio manager with over 30 years of experience in the investment industry and is currently responsible for the following sectors within the Small Cap Opportunities strategy: business services, consumer discretionary, consumer staples, and health care. Mr. Fiedler holds a B.A. in Political Science from Ripon College and a M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Prior to his joining Keeley-Teton in March 2021, he was a limited partner of Skyline since 1999 and served as a member of the executive committee. Mr. Fiedler was a portfolio manager with Skyline since March 2001 and was a securities analyst from September 1995 to March 2001. Prior to the establishment of Skyline, Mr. Fiedler was employed as a securities analyst at Mesirow Financial.
Mr. Goldsborough joined Keeley Teton Advisors, LLC (“Keeley Teton”) with over 16 years of investment experience on March 1, 2017. Prior to joining Keeley Teton, Mr. Goldsborough served as a Research Analyst (2016-2017) with KAMCO. While employed by KAMCO, Mr. Goldsborough provided research to client portfolios for KAMCO’s historical clients in a manner consistent with the manner he employs research for Keeley Teton. Before joining KAMCO, Mr. Goldsborough was an Investment Analyst (2010-2016) at Morningstar, Inc. Prior to Morningstar, Mr. Goldsborough was a Vice President, Research and a Member of the Investment Committee at Ariel Investments, where he began in 2001. Mr. Goldsborough earned his B.A. from Knox College in 1992, his M.S. from Northwestern University in 1994, and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 2001.
Mr. Keeley joined Keeley Teton Advisors, LLC (“Keeley Teton”) with over 24 years of investment experience on March 1, 2017. Prior to joining Keeley Teton, Mr. Keeley served as a Portfolio Manager (2006-2017) with Keeley Asset Management Corp. (“KAMCO”). While employed by KAMCO, Mr. Keeley managed client portfolios for KAMCO’s historical clients in a manner consistent with the strategies he currently manages for Keeley Teton. Before joining KAMCO, Mr. Keeley was a Vice President in Research and Trading with Mid-Continent Capital Management, LLC. Prior to this role, Mr. Keeley held various positions at ABN AMRO and The Chicago Corporation. Mr. Keeley earned his M.B.A. from Loyola University – Chicago and his B.A. from the University of Colorado – Boulder. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
Mr. Leonard joined Keeley Teton Advisors, LLC (“Keeley Teton”) with over 19 years of investment experience on March 1, 2017. Prior to joining Keeley Teton, Mr. Leonard served as a Portfolio Manager (2004-2017) and Research Analyst and Client Service Associate (2004-2009) with Keeley Asset Management Corp. (“KAMCO”). While employed by KAMCO, Mr. Leonard managed client portfolios for KAMCO’s historical clients in a manner consistent with the strategies he currently manages for Keeley Teton. Before joining KAMCO, Mr. Leonard was an Associate with CRA RogersCasey from 1998 to 2004. Brian earned his M.S. in finance from St. Xavier University’s Graham School of Management and his B.S. from DePaul University. In addition, Mr. Leonard holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
Mr. Maloney is a portfolio manager with over 31 years of experience in the investment industry and is currently responsible for the following sectors within the Small Cap Opportunities strategy: financial services, materials and processing, REITs, and utilities. Mr. Maloney holds a B.A. in Economics from DePaul University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Prior to joining Keeley-Teton in March 2021, he was a limited partner of Skyline since 1995 and served as a member of the executive committee. Mr. Maloney was a portfolio manager with Skyline since March 2001 and was a securities analyst from September 1995 to March 2001. Prior to the establishment of Skyline, Mr. Maloney was employed at Mesirow Financial as a securities analyst and was previously a vice president and investment analyst at Baker, Fentress and Co.
Mr. Odegard is a portfolio manager with over 29 years of experience in the investment industry and is currently responsible for the following sectors in the Small Cap Opportunities strategy: autos and transportation, energy, producer durables, and technology. Mr. Odegard holds a B.S. in Accounting and a M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from DePaul University. He is a Registered Certified Public Account and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
Prior to joining Keeley-Teton in March of 2021, he was a limited partner of Skyline since 1999 and served as a member of the executive committee. Mr. Odegard was a portfolio manager starting in March 2001 and was a securities analyst from March 2001 to October 1995. Mr. Odegard was previously employed by First Chicago Investment Management as an equity research analyst. He was also previously employed as a business analyst by Scott Foresman & Company and as a senior financial analyst at Arthur Andersen.
